STORY

THE STORY SO FAR ...

In the mid 80s Dreamega introduced a revolutionary
new home entertainment system that allowed its users to alter their reality. The realm inhabited by the users of this system was called the Arcade, an ever expanding cyber-dreamscape where people’s wildest fantasies became their digitized realities.

It came to pass that two ghost holograms appeared in the Arcade
(or maybe they had always been there) – one blue and one red.
They seemed to drift aimlessly through the digital world and were
largely ignored by the denizens who inhabited it (‘Arcadians’) until
one fateful day when the holograms bumped into each other. There was a blinding flash and when the pixels had settled two beings stood in their place - Player Zero and Player One, The Video and the Cassette: Joystixx – the children of the Arcade.

The sensation surrounding the birth of the first virtual children
catapulted them to superstardom in the virtual realm, and the
Arcade resounded with their funky futuristic electronic beats.
But their world literally came crashing down around them with
the ‘Bogus Devastation Wave of 1990’ in which a glitch in the
system caused 13 million users to have their brains fried.
Much of the Arcade was left in ruins and Joystixx were ejected
out of the virtual world and into cold harsh reality.

Contained herein are the misadventures of a modern day Romeo
& Juliet as they experience the day to day struggles of existing
in the real world, as well as their attempts to make it big in the
music industry as they try to have the inhabitants of an alternate
reality dancing to the soundtrack of the Arcade.
